I am in my forties and have very small spider veins veins face especially on my cheeks, chin and nose. I have a fair to medium complexion. I tried sheer cover mineral makeup without success it did not work miracles like the tv add.. When I wear foundation the spider veins seem to look more purple than red. Can anyone recommend a method of covering the veins?. A friend told me that many years ago women used a green cream to cover the veins and then put foundation over the top. I am so sick of looking sun burnt all the time. HELP. I would love to try laser treatments but they are just too expensive.

There’s this Clinique powder called Redness Solutions. It’s a yellowy powder but it works perfectly. Powder looks more natural than foundation on red skin, because with foundation you tend to still see the redness after the foundation has faded during the day.
Try Christhan Diors Liquid mineral foundation. I gos for sheer coverage to full coverage. I have to build up to full coverage because i have skin issue’s similar to yours. Go to Sephora and try it out. Buy it online on ebay Reps sell stuff on there for so much cheaper.
Use a liquid foundation which has pinky undertones, but matches your skin colour. Blend it in to your skin carefully. I use Barbara Daily foundation from Tesco’s to hide my freckles, and it just about does the job (=
Definetley go for a foundation that is yellow toned. Yellow is a great color to cover up redness. I reccommend a foundation Powder by Clinique called Redness Solutions Instant Relief Mineral Powder. It is used to reduce the redness on the face , it’s oil-free, and talc-free.
Here is the link from the Sephora website so you can check it out.
