Is it normal to have spider veins at my age?

I’m 16 this year, and I’ve started having spider veins on my legs since I was 13. Is this normal? Because as far as I know spider veins usually occur to pregnant women and older people. And is there any way to make it less noticeable apart from undergoing laser/surgical treatment? I don’t want to grow up having those nasty marks.

      Spider Vein Question?

I’ve had a spider vein on my lip for as long as I can remember. About every 3 years it pops and blood goes everywhere, it’s kinda gross. Haha, I’ve seen doctors and everything and they said it’s fine, but I’m just wondering if theres anything I can do to try and treat it, without laser treatments, like put something on it.
      Thanks

It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be and results were amazing with just the 1st treatment. My question is has anyone had the saline injections and have injection marks lasted a long time? I had my injections about 2 weeks ago and the prick marks are still very dark. I’ve stayed out of the sun as I was told it would cause the marks to fade even slower.
You bet Shari. My insurance covered it. All of it. I have Paramount insurance. By getting rid of your varicose and spider veins blood will be flowing through healthier veins which aids to better circulation and healthier legs. Allowing blood to continue flowing through weak broken down veins is unhealthy as can be so insurance recognizes it as a preventative measure for more complications later…per the doctor.

Do I really have joint hypermobility?

I’ve had joint aches and pains all my life, and was always told they were growing pains. Last year (when I was 21) I asked my doctor about it and she said I might have joint hypermobility because I could press my right thumb down to my wrist, though my flexibility is limited only to my arms and legs and I’m not double-jointed.

She referred me to a physiotherapy who made an attempt to sort out the pain in my knees because that was easiest and then gave up claiming I didn’t really seem to have joint hyper mobility and referred me to a podietrist.

The podietrist has put insoles in my feet and says I do seem to have hypermobility. Not convinced, I went back to my doctor who referred me to a rheumatologist.

Its now been over a year, I went to the rheumatologist who bent my fingers back (which don;t go that far back and it hurt) pulled at me a bit and declared that I was hypermobile. I am now very frustrated and confused because he wanted to refer me back to a physiotherapist who doesn’t believe I have hypermobility.

Other things that are (only possibly) related are pale skin with spider/thread veins. I have serious back pain though my back is not hypermobile. My eyesight was minus 7 but I got laser treatment (twice) to correct it.

When I got upset about it he suggested I might be depressed, referred me to a psychologist, gave me a leaflet about joint hypermobility and told me to live with it. It feels like all people can see is my flexibility which over-shadows a possibly different underlying cause for my pain. The only other ‘solution’ is painkillers but the only stabbing pain I get is momentary, for example when I push open a door or whwn Irun. I’m not going to take painkillers every day just in case.

      Is this really joint hypermobility?

        Best foundation for red skin?

I am in my forties and have very small spider veins veins face especially on my cheeks, chin and nose. I have a fair to medium complexion. I tried sheer cover mineral makeup without success it did not work miracles like the tv add.. When I wear foundation the spider veins seem to look more purple than red. Can anyone recommend a method of covering the veins?. A friend told me that many years ago women used a green cream to cover the veins and then put foundation over the top. I am so sick of looking sun burnt all the time. HELP. I would love to try laser treatments but they are just too expensive.
