Does anyone else suffer with these things? I have had them for years now, and they seem to have spread. They don’t hurt but are unsightly and prevent me from wearing skirts. They look like bruises on certain parts of my legs. Is there a treatment for them, or an inexpensive cream etc that will make them go away?

There is a treatment for them called sclerotherapy. It’s a little painful but it provides pretty good results. Laser treatments work well too. There are some creams on the market that claim to get rid of the veins but there’s no scientific proof that they work. I went with the sclerotherapy myself and am pretty happy with the results. It hurt and it’s not cheap but there’s definite improvement.
Telangiectasias are often treated with laser or IPL therapy. There have been medication based treatments available for over 50 years. Laser therapy uses light beam that is pulsed onto the veins in order to seal them off, causing them to dissolve. These light-based treatment requires adequate heating of the veins. For optimal results, several laser treatments are usually necessary. A Sclerosant medication is injected into the diseased vein so it hardens and eventually shrinks away.
