This slideshow chronicles my first Vbeam Pulsed Dye Laser Treatment from the day before until 13 days after. I also have short, informative videos for each of those days, if you are interested in hearing little tidbits of what to expect. Those videos and this slideshow were born out of my frustration at not being able to locate this information from anyone else. I hope these are helpful to you. My bruising was a little more severe than some others because I chose to have a high setting to get it over with quicker. I could have had a lower setting and had less bruising, but more treatments.

1 day after Hi again. This is the first day after my Vbeam treatment. No pain. No bumps. Only little purple bruises. I slept on an extra pillow and woke up with a backache and a headache. If I had it to do over, I think I’d skip the extra pillow and take the potential swelling. I hate headaches! They are so debilitating. I see no difference from yesterday, but this is why I am recording each day. If you are as curious as I was before the treatment, you can see what reality is. There are settings that the laser has that allows the patient to choose a lesser effective treatment, less sting during the treatment and less bruising, thereby possibly needing multiple treatments. The upside is that the bruises that do show up are gone in a day or 2. The other option is that they can choose a more aggressive treatment, which results in more bruising, more sting during the procedure and longer healing time. I opted for the more aggressive, thereby giving me quicker results, more stinging and lotsa purple bruises! BUT…I won’t have as many treatments…just 2. There are also choices in between those 2 examples. If this series of videos has been a help, please let me know by leaving a comment. I will continue to post videos for this treatment, as well as the next one, which will either be another treatment to my face or treatment for spider veins on my legs. I hope some of you who click on my videos are finding them helpful and/or informative. Talk at ya tomorrow. Remember to

Day of Hi. Well, I did it! The videos that I’ve seen on Youtube show that it does not hurt. The people getting the laser treatment don’t even flinch! Some say that their bruises went away in a couple of days…I’m sure mine won’t! I counted each laser “zap” and there were 106. I only counted to distract myself. She lasered some of the veins and red spots twice, and some are in clusters, so you won’t see 106 bruises. Each one felt like a bee sting or the snap of a rubber band, but the blessing is that a second later, the sting was gone. At least there is no pain now. I only remember I had it done when I look in the mirror. My husband has nicknamed me “Leorpard Lady”…nice guy!!! LOL My dermatologist says it will take at least 2 weeks for the bruising to be gone. No biggy. Life goes on. Vbeam Pulsed Dye Laser Treatment – 3 days after – 5-21-11

3 days after It’s been 72 hours since my Vbeam treatment and I am finally seeing some fading. I have also attached a pic of how well the makeup covers the “blueberry shade bruises”. I hope you are getting some benefit out of these videos. I began making and posting them out of frustration for the people who, like me, want more info but can’t find any “ordinary people” who had it done. Vbeam Pulsed Dye Laser Treatment – 6 days after

6 days after This video is one in a series that follows the progress of the healing process after my Vbeam Pulsed Dye Laser treatment. I not only show you what to expect with aggressively treating rosacea, spider veins and red spots, but share with you some insight on my experience. The series was born out of my frustration at trying to find some videos of “real people” (not professional before and after pics) who actually had the Vbeam treatment. I wanted to see what I’d look like and what it looks like as it heals. I heard conflicting stories from friends and wanted to know for myself. If you are interested or just curious, please view my previous videos for visuals and for info that I wish I’d had known, just so that I could be informed. After 5 days, the bruises are noticeably fading. My dermatologist said it would take about 2 weeks for them to completely fade and I believe she’s right on. There are settings that the laser has that allows the patient to choose a lesser effective treatment, less sting during the treatment and less bruising, thereby possibly needing multiple treatments. The upside is that the bruises that do show up are gone in a day or 2. Vbeam Pulsed Dye Laser Treatment – Before – 5-16-11

Before This is the first installment of a video series to chronicle the before, during and after of my Vbeam Pulse Dyed Laser treatment and healing. Due to rosacea and an autoimmune disease known as Limited Scleroderma (aka CREST), I have red spots and spider veins on my entire face that are too numerous to count. If you subscribe to my channel, you will be notified of updates, which I plan to do daily. Some people tell me that I will look like I was in a fight and lost, while others tell me I will merely appear sunburned. I am curious which it will be. Either way, I will come out the winner! The procedure is scheduled for May 18, 2011 at 1:30pm, EST. I’ll be back shortly after the procedure with an update. I have not been able to locate any videos that follow the recovery process, so I decided to make them myself! Sorry that it looks a little pixelated. If this video was a help to you in any way, I’d love to read your comments. I plan to post every day. See ya tomorrow! Have a blessed day.

amacorp.com Get rid of unsightly leg veins quick and easy with lasers. With treatment leg veins often completely disappear after 2-4 sessions, but usually leave a residual “reddish shadow” that typically requires 8-12 weeks to completely resolve (disappear). In addition, a temporary “cat scratch” swelling may appear and persist for 2-3 days. In some cases, the “cat scratch” may become crusted and flake off. Much like the healing of any deeper scratch or cut, in the case of larger blue leg veins, some bruising may occur and occasionally, after a few days, scabs may appear at the surface. These scabs will simply crust off revealing beautiful new vein-free skin underneath. In the case of smaller spider veins and broken capillaries, the healing will be much less visible. All these conditions are normal inflammatory responses necessary for dissolving vein fragments and healing the tissue that surrounded the unwanted vein. Depending on the size and depth of the treated veins, as well as how responsive the patient’s skin is, the degree a patient experiences these conditions will vary from person to person. In all cases, experiencing these conditions is an indication of a successful spider vein treatment. Unsightly Facial Veins Disappear Quickly & Easily w/ Lasers

www.amacorp.com In vascular skin lesions such as spider veins and broken capillaries, the laser energy targets hemoglobin (in red blood cells), which vaporizes the blood and instantly collapses and destroys the unwanted vein. Over the course of a few weeks, your body simply dissolves any remaining fragments of the destroyed veins resulting in beautiful vein-free skin. Distinct facial spider veins and broken capillaries which are easy to target, are usually completely eliminated by only 1-2 treatments, leaving your skin with no evidence that you ever had any visible veins or capillaries. In a few cases, facial veins may turn slightly purple for a few days before they completely resolve (disappear). Though rare, in the case of a larger facial vein, a tiny indentation may appear where the vein collapses. With time, your skin will usually fill this indentation with beautiful new tissue.
