I’ve recently been finding spider veins on the sides of my lower legs. I’m only 20 years old and I am completely embarrassed to wear shorts in public because of them. I am 20 years old and I started getting them when I was 15 or 16. I eat well, exercise, and take care of myself in general but thanks to genetics I have spider veins and they are getting worse with age. I have them all over my thighs and even a little on my calves. A sclerosing solution is injected into the vein through a micro needle which generally causes very little pain. The sclerosing solution causes the vein to blanch (turn white), then gradually disappear, this may be painful. A typical treatment may last for 15 minutes and consist of 70 – 100 injections.
